Slack Chemical Company Inc. purchased our Castorland plant in April of 2009. This 139,000 square foot facility had fallen into much needed repair and with the foresight of Slack Chemical Executives and hard work by its employees it is once again a vibrant, useful facility. Located in Lewis County, 9 miles away from our Carthage facility, it is an ideal location to store full truckloads of many of our products in dry, covered conditions ready for delivery at any time. Several area manufacturing plants continue to utilize Castorland as a commercial warehouse. The facility is staffed by four employees whose duties include public warehousing, maintaining Slack inventory, as well as packaging of dry products. Another part of our family that strives for continued "Excellence."
